Two designer brands, Zimmermann and Ambush, opened their first China boutique stores in Shanghai Taikoo Li Qiantan. For Ambush, the China store is the brand’s first overseas store.
Miu Miu enters RED
Miu Miu entered RED in late February 2022. The hashtag #miumiu has been viewed 23.2 million times and #MiuMiu 2022SS collection (MiuMiu2022春夏系列) 252k times on the platform as of 28 February.
Mytheresa and Tory Burch enter JD.com
Mytheresa entered JD.com in March. Via JD.com, consumers have access to direct delivery from Mytheresa’s German headquarters.And, Tory Burch has launched a virtual boutique on JD.com. Meanwhile, the brand launched its Kira Denim Mini Bag online through the platform’s JD Hi Cube (京东小魔方).
Loewe announces Wu Lei as brand ambassador
Loewe announced Leo Wu (吴磊) as brand ambassador. Wu, an actor, has 43.9 million followers on Weibo.
Valentino announces Sun Li as brand spokesperson
Valentino announced Sun Li(孙俪) as brand spokesperson. Sun, a renowned actress, has 43 million followers on Weibo.
Crocs announces two spokespersons
Crocs announced Bai Yu(白宇) as brand China spokesperson and Bai Jingting(白敬亭) as brand global fashion spokesperson. Bai Yu is a renowned actor with close to 2 million followers on Weibo. Bai jingting, a famous actor, has 33.2 million followers on Weibo.

SK-II announces Zhang Zifeng as brand spokesperson
SK-II announced Zhang Zifeng(张子枫) as brand spokesperson. Zhang is a famous actress with close to 16 million followers on Weibo.
Bobbi Brown announces Kerry Wang as global beauty spokesperson
Bobbi Brown has announced Kerry Wang (王俊凯) as global beauty spokesperson. Wang is a well-known singer with more than 81 million followers on Weibo.

Anta Group collaborates with Hyatt Group to launch Fila House
Anta Group is collaborating with the Hyatt Group to build the Fila House, an integrated sports and lifestyle concept, in Shanghai. Fila House will also be a part of Anta’s new headquarters in the city.
Winter Olympics assigned hotels to extend Olympic halo effect
While the Beijing Winter Olympic Games have ended, signed hotels plan to extend the economic halo effect of the Olympics. Shangri-La Shougang Park has launched a series of promotion activities, such as an “accommodation+” set with visiting the snowboard Big Air Venue. An CTG Hotels insider has said that three signed hotels under CTG will take advantage of the recent Winter Olympics in order to make a one-season boom a longer term growth opportunity.

Shanghai coronavirus cases hit daily record; redoubles “dynamic clearance” policy
China’s financial hub Shanghai on Tuesday reported a fifth consecutive daily record for locally transmitted COVID-19 asymptomatic cases as the highly infectious Omicron variant complicates efforts to stop the virus spreading. Although small compared with the number of infections in many outbreaks overseas, the rise is significant as Shanghai redoubles its efforts to implement China’s “dynamic clearance” policy designed to curb each flare-up. Shanghai Disney has closed until further notice.
Provincial government offers tax cuts, subsidies amid ongoing outbreaks
China’s Wuxi and Hangzhou have unveiled tax and fee cuts to help businesses overcome the impact of new Covid-19 outbreaks. Similar policies also happened in Guangdong province that specific policy measures will be implemented to maintain the sustainable growth of the catering, retail, tourism, transportation and civil aviation sectors amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
