Chinese tourism sector sees promising rise during National Day holiday

The just finished eight-day National Day holiday has seen the strong recovery and growth of the Chinese tourism market. According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, domestic attractions have received around 826 million visits during the holiday. Tourism-related revenue has registered a remarkable growth, reaching around RMB 753.4 billion (US$103 billion) in eight days, a year-on-year rise of 129.5 percent and a growth of 1.5 percent from that in 2019.
